While we have purchased princess dress-up costumes from the parks and cruise line, and the Disney Store, my daughter has used them at home for dress up and Halloween.

They are usually shorter, cooler, and much more comfortable. There are many places to find these style of dresses, from Etsy shops to FB sites, and some well-known boutique brands. If you do want something more couture and very fancy, but do not want to spend hundreds of dollars, there is a company that will rent a very fancy dress for your child and deliver it to your resort. Prince Charming, Beast, etc. Plus they come with a return shipping label so that you can send it right back at your resort.

It is called Your Fairy Godmother. I have never personally used this company, nor am I affiliated with them in any way. I have read positive reviews of them on FB, though. I was not familiar with Your Fairy Godmother. They are usually only lightly or never worn. Just wanted to let you know it means a lot to a mom of queer kids to see this kind of love out there.
